Love Yourself, Beautiful Soul

"I open my mind and heart to the miracles of self-love."
What does it mean to love yourself? To do kind comforting things for and to yourself? Is it making time to get a massage, having lunch with a dear friend, buying yourself a fancy car or new clothes? Yes, sometimes. But true self-love is much more profound than that. Cultivating self-love and compassion for yourself means loving and embracing all that you are today ─ your thoughts, feelings, beauty, your age, mistakes, flaws, and imperfections, your power, sense of humor, intelligence, as well as your unique and different way of viewing the world around you.

Deeply loving yourself means not only accepting, but really adoring, each and every part of you, the entire package as a whole, and knowing at your core that you're valuable, important to the Divine Plan, deserving of great good, and lovable. It means being your best friend when life is going your way, as well as during those challenging and difficult times when it isn't as you would like it to be. Really loving yourself means that you stand by and up for yourself if that is what you need to do.
Picture
For many years I lived with a shielded heart. My patterns of self-hatred began long ago in my abusive childhood. There came a time in my healing journey when I simply could no longer consent to endure my lack of self-love. I had talked about self-love. I read books about the topic and went to workshops. I fed myself daily positive affirmations that I loved myself while looking in a mirror. It sounded good, but it still wasn't ringing true deep within me. I couldn't feel the words I was telling myself and my life still wasn't fully reflecting back to me these new beliefs. I realized then that I had to actually begin practicing the art of self-love. It was time to start loving myself the way I desperately wanted others to love me. This became the next step on my path.

To live in a harmonious way, one where love is given and received in balance, loving yourself isn't an elective along your journey. It's a main course in Awakening 101. In order to tune in and listen to the whispers of your heart that let you know where you're being guided ... to be present for your thoughts so you can comprehend what you really believe ... to honor and live with an open heart center with full awareness of your oneness with Spirit ... you must first put into practice love for yourself.

Have you let yourself down? Do you reject aspects of who you are? Do you hide behind a mask fearful of revealing your authenticity? Let yourself see the truth, feel if that's correct. Then, do whatever you can to begin to fully learn to experience love for yourself exactly where you're at right now.

Learn to value how you show up and the way you deal with things. Love your one of a kind way of stretching, expanding and evolving as a spiritual being having a human experience. Love where you've been and what you've done. Forgive yourself if you made a lot of mistakes during the process of waking up. Even God can't change your past, but with Divine help you can create a better future. One that is filled with light and love for yourself and others.

Love your present moments. Love how you look, what you think and feel. Love every detail of the body temple you chose for this lifetime's adventures. Love the break lines in your heart and the radiance that flows forth from the river of wisdom that came to be because of the history around those cracks. Love your errors, and love all the good that you've delivered to the world. Love it all, beautiful soul. Love all of your sweet self.

Begin your day with this simple prayer for Divine Love:

Sit in your sacred space, focus gently upon your breathing. Breathing in and out fully and deeply several times to bring about a state of tranquility within your mind and body. Then, surround and protect yourself with the magical pink light of the universe. Place your hands across your heart center and begin to feel the energy held within. Visualize this radiant rose-colored love filling up your entire being as you recite this blessing.

Dear God and Beloved Angels,
May love enter my life and fill my heart and soul. May the magic of love continually inspire me to radiate warmth and caring to myself and all those who touch my life.
Amen.

Gracefully,

How To Increase Your Core Self-Love

1/28/2019

Picture
Begin your daily meditation practice by taking a moment to relax and BREATHE.  Breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your mouth.  Giggle.  Give yourself a HUGE hug.  Say: “I welcome a wonderful life.”  Smile.  Breathing in say: “I know that I deserve a wonderful life.”  Breathe.  Say: “I willingly accept the highest and the best in my life.”

Now, gently close your eyes and shift your attention to your chosen word for the day, using it as a mantra, repeatedly saying it to yourself out loud for as long as feel intuitively guided. Then, allow yourself to flow into the silence for a few minutes as this word works its way down into depths of your being.

Do this exercise for 21 days and feel your heart lighten.  As you consciously release and let go of hurt, pain, negativity, and suffering, by focusing your meditation time on one of the above characteristics of the soul, you allow your heart to melt into the flow of Divine Love that is your birthright.

 Joyfully,
Michelle Mullady

The Miracle Prayer

Place your hands upon your heart center and concentrate on your breathing for a few moments, quietly inhaling and exhaling through the heart. Once you feel deeply relaxed, speak these words aloud:

"I open my heart wide to receive the love of God. As I receive God's love as universal supply, all of my affairs are healed. I realize and accept the healing power of the Universe as love, and I allow the healing power that is love to penetrate my life. I readily accept the healing power of love in my life and I know that as love, God is my limitless and abundant supply made manifest. I feel the outpouring of God's love in my body, mind, emotions, and spirit.  I sense God's love in all of my affairs, and I know all is well." ~ Patricia Jepsen Chuse

Prayer for Stress Relief

Picture
Sit in your sacred space. Close your eyes and place your focus upon your breath as you allow your physical body to relax. Surround and protect yourself with the magical white light of the universe. Begin to feel the energy envelop you and flow within. Welcome this love filled energy where it is most needed.

Gently fold both of your hands over your heart center and recite this prayer:

Creator, please send your angels to surround me now. May love enter my life and fill my heart and soul. May I receive intercession from the Spirit to assist me in my time of need and help me through this stressful time. With your support, I can remain serene and centered even though the circumstances of my life are challenging at this time.

Archangel Michael, I invite you to please cut any cords of connection that I have created to the energies of drama, chaos, and fear. I am ready to release these lower vibrations from my experience. I am tired of being overwhelmed and consumed with worry each day. Help me to detach from stress in all of its various forms and to seek peace, for my highest good. It is with gratitude in my heart that I release my problems to God as I ask for the guidance to make the needed positive changes in my life that will deliver me to goodness. Thank you Spirit and my beloved angels for helping me to move beyond the present moment into a new reality of peace and happiness.

And so it is ... Amen!

With Love and Light,

Prayer to Archangel Raguel for Healing Relationships

9/11/2018

Picture
Archangel Raguel's name means, "Friend of God", and his principle role is to create harmony and order in relationships. He is one of the primary angels that I call upon for help and healing throughout my interactions with others. His energy appears to me as a stunning orb of turquoise light with the faint impression of giant expanded white wings. His color vibration reminds me of my visits to the ocean while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. When he appears, I know that his purpose is to support growth and transformation for everyone involved. As I call upon his angelic presence, positive shifts quickly occur between me and those I love. Raguel's essence emanates a divine love that brings me to a state of deep inner peace.

Here's a prayer to welcome Raguel's energy into your relationships:

Beloved Archangel Raguel,

I call upon your radiance now.
I ask that you adjust my inner light and vibration so that they're completely focused on aligning with the highest and healthiest relationships for my life.
I now willingly release any attachments to unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.
I open my heart to new positive experiences
.
Please guide my choices.
Please help me to see my life with clarity.
Please comfort me as I acknowledge my fears.
Please support me in knowing that I deserve the best that life and love have to offer me.
I am ready to feel safe and secure in my world.

And so it is ... Amen.

With Love & Light,

"You are in charge of the thoughts in your head and how they make you feel about the world and people around you.“

I learned a new word, pronoia. It’s the opposite of paranoia, where you think bad things are going to happen to you. Pronoia is when you think the world is conspiring to support you, and good things are going to happen to you.

Pronoia reminds me of what people call rose-colored glasses.

It got me thinking, rarely (if ever) have I heard “rose colored glasses” used in a positive light. It’s usually been spoken to me as a warning or admonition that I was being too positive and I better watch out because bad things were going to happen.

Why is our society so slanted against rose-colored glasses? Perhaps it’s leftover from the genes that have helped our species survive. Neuroscientists have defined a set of brain areas called the default mode network. This network is active when we are not purposefully controlling our attention.

The default mode network is a mental state where we are scanning the internal and external environment anticipating things that could harm us. You can imagine that if you were living in the jungle, or working in a dangerous situation, having an active default mode network would keep you out of harm's way, as it would alert you to any possible dangers, and turn your attention towards them.

But in present day society this default mode network does not always serve us. Often we are completely safe and out of harm's way, but our default mode network is still telling us “hey, that guy in the meeting doesn’t like you, he’s going to get you fired,” or “you are running out of money and your going to be destitute.” Often these messages are far more dramatic than the actual situations and can cause unneeded stress and anxiety.

When our default mode network picks up something it thinks is a threat, it treats it like a life-or-death situation. So we end up with adrenaline pumping through our systems for no good reason. Even worse, having an overactive default mode network can raise your levels of cortisol which causes many of the negative health effects of stress.

So back to rose colored glasses.

First a story. I had a client come to me because he was miserable and could not see the joy in his life anymore. He was is a difficult situation with an adult son living with him who had mental health and addiction issues. Society is happy to validate his sadness and frustration.

He was attracted to my work in self-compassion, yet, he was still very skeptical that there was anything that could make a difference after all the therapy, group meetings, and self-help books he had forged through.

When we first met, he said something along the lines of “So this self-compassion stuff is like you telling me to put on my rose-colored glasses, right?” I laughed and said “actually, it may be more about taking off your crap-colored glasses.” This gave him pause, and then made him laugh heartily.

We spent the rest of his session looking carefully at the thoughts he was generating about his son and situation and how we could shift them to be more self-compassionate as a way to get back to joy. Basically we were looking for where his default mode network was telling him stories about how bad things are and will be.

What I love about self compassion is that the process is not about taking negative thoughts and forcing them to be positive (putting on the rose colored glasses). The process is about noticing the difficult thoughts and seeing how they make you feel, and if they are causing suffering, to give yourself some love for that suffering.

Once you have shown yourself some compassion, then take a careful look at the thoughts causing your suffering. How can you create a replacement thought that is compassionate, honest and fosters a sense of well-being? These new compassionate thoughts can be referred to on a regular basis as a reminder to help you to take off the crap-colored glasses.

You are in charge of the thoughts in your head and how they make you feel about the world and people around you. It really does make a difference how you frame your thoughts. It can change your emotions and your behavior.

What I love about self compassion is that it’s a gentle way of shifting out of the default mode network and opening to the possibility that you can see the world and yourself in a new light.

At the very least, take off the crap-colored glasses.

It is in this healing sanctuary you can receive and send angelic energy and love. Please take a few moment to relax and allow yourself to feel centered. Now focus your entire awareness on the beautiful angel in the center of the waves. It is an angelic gateway. Imagine that your breath is carrying you through this vortex and back again as you visualize the waves moving with each breath.

To Receive Energy ...
Visualize waves of light coming toward you from the angel. As you do this, know that a shimmering life force—from the hundreds of people that are sending energy into this same image—is flowing into your heart center and into your body. Wave after wave of sparkling, vibrant energy is filling your entire being.

To Send Energy ...
Visualize waves surging towards the angel. As you do this imagine energy streaming through your heart center to the people that are here asking for support or healing. (This energizes you as well as the people that you are sending to. Know that all you give with an open and loving heart returns to you a thousand fold.)

Many Blessings to you!

Conscious Breathing to Expand Your Power & Energy

5/31/2018

Picture
Breathe in and out through the nose, and, even as you read, feel or sense or imagine that with every inhale you can draw divine light in through the entire surface of your body. Simply imagine that each slow, deep, inhaled breath is drawing divine light in through every cell of your body, that the whole outer surface of your skin opens to and receives divine light with each deep inhaled breath. And, even as you read, feel or sense or imagine that with every exhale you are shining divine light outward, like a burning flame, with every exhale the entire surface of your body releases divine light, radiates divine light. Continue breathing in through the skin, and radiating out through the skin, for a few minutes more, as your eyes softly close ...

Joyfully,

Visualize Yourself as a Beautiful Flower

Nature's remedy to the pressures of contemporary living are so potent that they can be accessed through the imagination, even if you're living in a busy city.  The flower makes a fine subject matter for a healing visualization. Use a flower to invoke love, birth, unity, growth and connection.
Picture
This is your time. A time for total relaxation and inner stillness.

Scan your physical being for a moment to make sure that you are warm enough, and that you are seated comfortably. Rest your hands loosely in your lap and gently close your eyes.

Take a long slow, deep breath in, hold it for a moment, and then slowly exhale. Just allow any tension to melt away as you gradually relax more and more deeply with each breath. Take another long slow, deep breath in, hold it, and then blow out. Empty your lungs completely with your exhale. Take a third unhurried deep breath inward, holding it for a moment, and then let it go. You can already feel yourself drifting into a state of deep relaxation.

Continue to breathe slowly and gently as you bring your awareness to the top of your head. Just sense or imagine a feeling of serenity beginning to spread down from the top of your scalp ... feel the muscles in your forehead and temples loosen up. Allow your eye muscles to release. Let your cheeks and jaw soften and let go of all tension.

Now let this peaceful feeling flow down into your neck. Feel it loosening every muscle and every fiber of your being. With each breath you take, this relaxing feeling becomes deeper and warmer. It works its way into the muscles in your shoulder ... soothing and nurturing them. This peaceful feeling flows down from your shoulders and into your arms. It loosens the muscles in your upper arms ... your forearms ... your hands ... calming and relaxing them all the way to the tips of your fingers.

As your body lightens up, your mind lets go, and your thoughts begin to disappear. You are slipping further and further into a dreamlike state of inner stillness.

Now, bring your awareness to your chest and your stomach. Feel how this area of your body gently rises and falls as you breathe. A peaceful sensation flows throughout this area of your body, as healing energy moves through every muscle, joint, organ and cell. You can feel it freeing each molecule of tension.

Turn your attention to your upper back, and feel this serene sensation stream all the way down your spine. As it gradually works its way down your body, feel every muscle in your back relax and unwind.

Feel that your entire upper body has become loose and limp with peace. Sink into this consciousness. Relax more and more deeply with each breath.

Now feel your hips relax as the peaceful feeling starts to work its way through your lower body. Relax your buttocks ... the backs of your thighs ... the front of your thighs. Feel all these large, strong muscle groups becoming looser and more relaxed with each passing moment.

Soothing feelings of relaxation course down through your knees, and into your calves. Your ankles relax. Now your feet relax. Allow your entire lower body to relax completely and allow any remaining tension from anywhere in your body to pour out through the tips of your toes.

You are tranquil and at ease.

Picture
Imagine yourself as an exquisite flower bud, snugly closed, waiting for just the right conditions to be revealed, so that you may make your spectacular debut into the world.  Picture yourself being nurtured by the tender drizzle of light rainfall.  Feel the tantalizing pleasure surge through you, as the gentle and fortifying energy of the rainwater pours upon you in a cleansing shower, washing away anything that is unlike love.

Now, envision this nurtured bud being warmed by the mild rays of the morning sun. Experience the light of the brilliant sunbeams within you, radiating — settling into the area of your heart chakra to be absorbed and transformed into Divine Love. Circulate love and light within your heart center as you visualize your flower begin to unfold, each magnificent petal presenting itself like a gift of beauty reaching out to unify with the whole. See love everywhere, in every situation, and in every person.  Revel in your radiance and splendor as you commit to eternally allowing your soul's light to flow and shine.

Peacefully,
Michelle Mullady
