Finding Freedom From Your Resentments

Archangel Chamuel Prayer for Self Love
Resentments are cunning, crafty, thorny little things. They can persuade you they're warranted as they poke at your insides, contaminate your mind and dry up your heart's pure energy. They can disrupt your ability to trust and wither away your natural expression of joy. They can damage your ability to give and receive love.

Most likely, at some point in your life, you have been delivered an injustice or "opportunity for growth" as I like to call them. Certainly, there is someone in your life that has grumbled even whined over a wrong that you served up to them. Life can be crammed with occasions to form resentments, if you let it.

You can suffer along your path trying to convince yourself and others that this time you really were mistreated. Some people even let these perceived maltreatments fester over long periods of time. Then, they explode over fixable incidents and claim they are once again the victim. Don't be that person. Maybe you were ill-treated, but harboring a resentment isn't the solution. If it was, your resentment list could easily resemble Madonna's Facebook page with18 million + hits to date. What I am saying here is "deal with your feelings". Be fully present for the lesson that is trying to unfold. Don't run away from it, because that usually means that you will just get the chance to repeat it again and again and again. Learn whatever it is that is at hand. Then release the feelings and reclaim the yummy goodness of inner harmony.

Resentments are for those who are settling for survival in life. They're a very complicated, dissatisfying form of vengeance. Which means, no matter who you're blaming and feeling bitter about, the anger is ultimately directed inward against yourself. You are the one whose body, mind, and spirit is being poisoned by the venom that anger creates.

Forgiveness and Release Process
Forgiveness and Release Process:

Take a moment to invite your Higher Power and the angels in to be present for this healing session. Search your heart. Write down the names of everyone in your life whom you feel has ever mistreated you, harmed you, done you an injustice, or toward whom you feel or have felt resentment, harm, or rage. Next to each person's name, write down what they did to you, or what you are angry at them for.

Then, find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Close your eyes, take several deep relaxing breaths as you drop your attention down into your heart chakra. One-by-one call forth each person into your imagination. Begin a conversation with each person on your list, expressing all of the frustration, sadness, hurt, and anger that you have felt. Tell them your story. Don't hold anything back. Once you have done this, explain to them that from this point forward you are going to call upon God and the angels for support to forgive them for everything, and to cut the cords that will dissolve and release all constricted energy between you. Offer them a blessing and say, "I forgive you and set us both free to go on our own way and be happy."

When you have finished this process, scribble across the paper with a brightly colored marker, "I now forgive and release you all in peace." Tear up the sheet of paper and burn it in a safe place.

God, grant me the serenity that acceptance brings.

With Love and Light,
Michelle Mullady
